Semester Goals

I have so many things to write about, but for now I'm going to declare a few semester goals because it's on my to-do list! I'm super weird about my to-do lists. I always have one going, and nothing makes me happier than crossing something off of it. I even put things on my to-do list that I enjoy doing or that I've already done just so I can cross them off! Like I said, SUPER WEIRD. Not only are to-do lists important to me, but so are goals. I truly think it's so important to write them out. No matter if it's in a word document or on a sticky note, just write them down so you have a visual. Anyway, here are the semester goals I've lined out for myself.

1. Make a 4.0
2. Visit my top 5 law schools
3. Decide which law school to attend
4. Spend and enjoy as much time with Mom, Dad, and Rex as possible
5. Go home and spend time with Mom and Dad at least 3 weekends
6. Make at least 5 new friends
7. Strengthen relationships that I want to last after this semester
8. Cut off relationships that are no longer growing me
9. Do everything in Lubbock that I'll ever want to
10. Go visit Bo in DC at least once
11. Go to Waco and stay with Granny twice
12. Read more books & watch less TV
13. Leave this place a little better than I found it

Just like my goals for 2014 these are subject to change and could be interpreted in a lot of different ways. Mainly, I just want to enjoy this last semester in West Texas the most I possibly can. I don't want to look back on this time and wish I'd done something different with it.

Since one of my goals is about my grades, I'm going to rant really quickly about something. I can't stand when people publicly post their grades. I get it. You're proud of yourself and want some recognition, but COME ON! Have a little self pride and pat yourself on the back. By all means tell your family members, but not all of your followers! If you have to tell me about your accomplishments, I am not going to be happy for you. It's as simple as that. Humility is one of the most important qualities one can posses, and posting your grades online is anything but humble. Okay, rant over. :)

My parents came to Lubbock this weekend, and we had a really great time together. God seriously blessed me when he named those two to be mine. They are so fun and supportive. I am just THANKFUL! Here's a pic of my padre and me to end this post.
